OPEN MIC NIGHT
Designed for a local coffeehouse in Savannah, GA. I shot the photo, tweaked it in photoshop, and did the type effects in Illustrator. Contemporary, playful styling with type effects designed to unify the entire composition. The focus is supposed to be on the person's words or singing, and the one mic image was supposed to reinforce that. I didn't want the type to stand out or be too jarring against the very understated photograph, so I used elements, grain, and colours from the original photo that was shot.
